OBITUARY

Oliver Burns Caskey, the son of
Tom and Jane Caskey, was born
March 12, 1890 at West Liberty.
Kentucky. He received his education
near his childhood home.

He was united in marriage to
Helma Brandvold on March 14,
1917 at Storm Lake. They made
their home in the Rembrandt area
where they farmed until 1931.
They then moved to Sutherland
where "O.B." was engaged as a
butter maker at the creamery
there. He was a member of Bethel
Lutheran Church in Sutherland.
He passed away on July 30,
1984, at the Wide View Rest Home
in Paullina, having reached the age
of 94 years.

He was preceded in
death by his wife, Helma in 1980;
his parents; a daughter, Vivienne
in 1939; four brothers; one sister;
and one son-in-law, Kenneth
Kumm in 1978.

Left to cherish his memory are
his daughter, Mrs. Harriet Kumm
of Seattle, Washington; one brother,
Willis Caskey of Wilmar,
Minnesota; and one sister, Susan;
other relatives and friends.

Services, for O.B. Caskey were
held at Bethel Lutheran Church,
Sutherland, Iowa, on Saturday,
August 4, 1984, at 10:00 a.m.
The Reverend Leroy Riemer
officiated.

Mrs. Don Ebel sang "In the
Garden" and "How Great Thou
Art " accompanied by Mrs. Loren
Drefke on t h e organ. Casket bearers
were George Wittrock, Larry Hersom,
Ed Jebsen , Wally Steinert, Leonard
Amendt, and Vernon Kruse.
Honorary casket bearers were
R.T. Clayton and Herb Lange.
The committal service was held
at the Little Sioux Cemetery in
Rembrandt, Iowa. The Baumgarten
Funeral Homewas in charge
of the arrangements.
