Cook - Mavis Rose Cook, daughter of Robert L. Cook, Sunday, May 29, 1898, aged six years.

Little Mavis was a bright and winsome child, whose sweet disposition made her a precious thought in the minds of all. Lung complications, the result of a cold, caused her death. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Hatheway at the M. E. church on Monday afternoon, and the remains were laid beside those of her mother in Union cemetery.
