Myron Dale Vander Lee, was the son of Tunis and Gertrude Van Roekel Vander Lee was born June 11, 1936 at Lake Wilson, Minnesota. The family moved to the Sheldon area in 1944.
On June 14, 1957 he married Marjorie Monster at Sheldon, Iowa. They farmed west of Sheldon. In 1964 they moved to a farm near Melvin, Iowa. Myron enjoyed cattle feeding. Myron was a member of the First Reformed Church of Melvin, Iowa, where he had served as Elder, Deacon, and Sunday School Superintendent for many years.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie of Melvin; one son and his wife Gary and Jayne Vander Lee of Hartley, Iowa; three daughters and their husbands, Deb and Dennis Ten Clay of Sheldon, Iowa, Marsha and Mark Wynja of Melvin, Iowa, and Cheryl and Steve Taylor of Hartley, Iowa; seven grandchildren, David, Daniel and Michael Ten Clay, Joy, Travis and Valorie Taylor, and Matthew Vander Lee; his father, Tunis Vander Lee of Sheldon; two brothers, Norman Vander
Lee of Rock Rapids, Iowa and Merlyn Vander Lee of Sheldon; one sister, Mrs. Don (Glenda) Riemersma of Sheldon; also a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude
