Myron Elijh Hill Jr.,the son of Myron Elijah and Grace Merrill, was born December 25, 1906 at Sutherland, Iowa. He attended school at Sutherland and graduated in 1925.

He was united in marriage to Bertina Axdahl on August 29, 1937, Paullina, Iowa. They farmed in the Sutherland-Peterson area for 45 years nd lived in the town of Sutherland since 1978.

Myron was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sutherland, was a school board member at Waterman Township and Sutherland schools, and a former member of Ruritan, and Senior Citizens at Sutherland.

He enjoyed hunting, sports and nature.

He passed away at Primghar, Iowa on September 10, 1989 at the age of 82. Preceding him in death were his parents, and two brothers, Roy and Merrill (Jim).

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Bertina, two sons and their wives Norman and Nancy of Cherokee, Iowa and Jack and Betty of Sutherland, seven grandchildren, Mark, Jackie, Patrick, Laura and Derek Hill, and Marc and Brian Rupp; two great grandchildren, Stacie and Megan and a sister-in-law Jane Hill of Sutherland, along with other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers were Al Jensen, Robert Olhausen, Verlin Gelhalus, Larry Gilbert, Clayton Hill, Bruce Fiddelke.

Honary casket attendants: Herbert Troxel, Weldon Martin, Chester Wittrock, Ralph Gilbert, Robert Florine, William Braunschweig.

Baumgarten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Burial: Waterman Cemetery, Sutherland, Iowa
