GERMANTOWN—Wilbur Ray Kaiser, 75, rural Germantown, died Wednesday, July 27, at his home.
Services were Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown with
Rev. Donald Erickson officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery, under the direction of Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina.
Wilbur, son of William and Mildred (Harms) Kaiser, was born Dec. 29, 1935, on the family farm home near Germantown. He received his education in a country school. He served his country in the Army from September of 1958 until June of 1960. After his discharge he returned to the family farm to farm with his dad. He married Ruth JoAnne Richter at St. John Lutheran Church on April 28, 1963, Germantown. They settled on the family farm southwest of Germantown where he continued to farm. Mrs. Kaiser died June 12,2006, at the family farm home near Germantown. He was baptized on Jan. 26, 1936, at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown and confirmed on April 29, 1951, at Peace Lutheran Church in Marcus. He currently was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. He enjoyed spending time with his family, eating out, visiting, playing cards, cooking and the family farm where he spent most of his life.
Survivors include a daughter, Crystal Vande Weerd of Hospers; Dave Vande Weerd of Hospers; a brother, Harold and Betty Kaiser of Crestview, FL; and a sister-in-law, Elaine and Glen Waggoner of Sutherland.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a sister and her husband, Phyllis and Dale Heins; a brother-in-law and his wife, Donald and Darlene Richter.
