Lawrence Lutterman, age 83, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at the Sanford Hospital in Sheldon.

Lawrence will be cremated and there will be a private family gathering this coming summer.

Lawrence Thomas Lutterman was born on March 13, 1928, in Wilmont, Minnesota. He was the son of Tenges "Tom" and Emma (Kruger) Lutterman. He lived his youth in the Wilmont area and attended school in Worthington, Minnesota, where he graduated from high school. He served in the United States Army for two years and was honorably discharged. He returned to farming, doing custom work.
He was united in marriage to LaVonne Ruth Scholtes of Wilmont, Minnesota on June 28, 1963 in Wilmont, where they lived. Lawrence worked for Armours in Worthington, Minnesota. After 19 years of working, Lawrence became disabled and was unable to work. They moved to Worthington. In 2000, they moved to Sheldon, Iowa.
Lawrence was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon, Iowa. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Wilmont, Minnesota and American Legion in Boyden, Iowa.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to sales auctions and collecting old cars and other things with engines.
He passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Sanford Hospital in Sheldon, Iowa, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 2 days.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 48 years: LaVonne Lutterman of Sheldon, IA; two daughters and sons-in-law: Lawre and Michael Harris of Brainerd, MN, and their children: Daniel, Nicole and David, living at home; Lois and Daniel Klein of Sheldon, IA, and their daughters: Mandy and Jackie, living at home; 2 sisters-in-law: Marcella Weiner of Villard, MN, Gen Lutterman of Fulda, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
