OBITUARY: Nora Donohue

After a severe and lingering illness, Miss Nora Donohue passed into eternity on Saturday morning at the home of her mother, Mrs. Timothy P. Donohue, Sr. The deceased lady had spent many of the years of her too brief life in Sheldon and its vicinity. She several months ago submitted to a serious operation in the hope of gaining improved health. The greatly desired boon was however not granted and the end came after much suffering. Miss Nora was during her entire life faithful in the performance of the duties of the household, and was ever willing to administer to those in need of her services. Rev. Father McCormack celebrated a requiem mass at ten o’clock on Monday morning, at St. Patrick’s church after which the deserted temple was consigned to the long slumber in St. Patrick’s cemetery. “Somewhere” and “Nearer, My God, To Thee” were rendered during the services.

The lady is survived by her aged mother, brothers: Messers. John, Daniel and Timothy, of Sheldon, Joseph of Sioux City, and Mesdames Margaret White of Sheldon, W. H. Beacom of Cottonwood, Minnesota, Mrs. John Barrett of Wilmont, also in the North Star state. One brother, Florance, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Finn, preceded her to the spirit world. To the bereaved ones heartfelt sympathy is extended.
