I think your answer to a possible divorce is probably going go to be in Colorado Springs and not in Iowa based on what I found for you. Especially significant is that Delia and her husband, Walter Gordon had a second daughter, Bessie on September 10, 1883 in Colorado Springs. Both Jessie and Bessie were living with their grandmother (Hariot Clark) there in 1885. A divorced "Allie Clark" is in the same household. There is also a 25 year old married "Della Gordon" born in Illinois working as a servant and also in El Paso county. Delia had a sister Ellen. Is Allie possibly Ellen or is it Delia?
This is what I located:
Delia May Clark married Walter Henry Gordon on December 28, 1880 in Colorado Springs, El Paso, Colorado.
Gordon-Clark — In the Methodist parsonage in this city, December 28, 1880, Rev. W. L. Sutz officiating, Walter A. Gordon, of Gunnison City, and Miss Delia M. Clark, of this city.
Colorado Springs Weekly Gazette -- Colorado Springs, Colorado

Jessie Gordon, born September 1881 in Iowa
Bessie M. Gordon born September 10, 1883 in Colorado Springs.
