looking for info on 1930 marriage

I am helping my friend delores Campbell Mabry find her half-sister Betty Campbell. Betty's dad Lawrence D. campbell was married in 1930 to a lady by the name of Dorothy Julia Hardy from Muscatine, IA. They were only married for a year and julia deserted lawrence. When we looked at the divorce papers in Kalamazoo, MI. there was a card to appear at the divorce proceedings and the name that was signed at the time was a Mrs. James Crook. We want to find out if Dorothy Julia Hardy and Lawrence D. Campbell had a child at this time of their marriage. Delores is trying to find her half-sister Betty .
