Would like to know my family roots.

I am searching for information of James Waters .Whom came from Iowa in early 1900s.Lived in southern illinois maybe a short time.May have married Nettie Edmison .They had a son 7-29-1923 named Hubert [james] lee Waters. Which is my father. any information please write to me at shaver99@charter.net I would love to here from any source.To learn of my family Roots.My father never knew him. I have been told he worked on the Railroad and his family owned a Hotel or Motel Somewhere in Iowa. Thank for taking time to read this...Pam
