Ervin G. Elliott Death

Trying to locate Death Record/Certificate for Ervin G. Elliott. A guardianship petition by his widow, Lucy Fickling Elliott in Sep. 1888 states that her husband, Ervin G. Elliott (late of Muscatine Co., IA) died 20 Jul 1888 & surviving him are his widow, Lucy Elliott, and four minor children, George A., Charles H., Glenn & Susan B. (ages 7,5,3,2). He left no property but two of the children (George A. & Glenn) owned in their own names jointly, a small house & lot in the town of Port Allen. O.P Wilcox was appointed their guardian by Muscatine Co. court. He sold the property, & forwarded $34.85 to the widow in Cambridge, Henry Co., IL. Her petition was to have the guardianship of these children herself.
It says she has used the $$ up on school books & clothes & has no funds to pay cost of guardianship court costs.

Any help in locating records of death for Ervin G. Elliott would be appreciated.
