KERN Family

KERN

Is there anybody in Muscatine related to the Harry Kern who lived there around 1900?...the same Harry Kern who was the subject of a biographical piece in the history of Muscatine?

My reason for asking is that I possess a large original photograph of Mr. Kern in his military uniform (from the chest up), as well as a small photo made from the original around the same time.

Somehow, his photograph and a similar-sized original photo of his brother Frank (also in military uniform), ended up long ago in my grandmother's collection of family photographs.

I have tried in vain to find any connection between my ancestors and the Kern family. On the back of the photo it is clearly written "Harry Kern"... "Muscatine, Iowa".

If anyone knows of a descendant of this family who is doing genealogical research, please pass this information on to them. Thank you.
