Delmar Eichoff

EICHOFF

Hello!
I am looking for anyone who is familiar with the Eichoff family of Muscatine, in particular, Delmar Eichoff, the son of William F. Eichoff. I am writing a biography of Charles H. Weeghman of Chicago. Weeghman owned a string of lunchrooms in Chicago and perhaps more famously, owned the Chicago Cubs from 1916-1919. Delmar comes into Weeghman's life in 1915 and plays an interesting, albeit long-forgotten role in the history of Chicago baseball. Delmar was born in 1876 in Muscatine and died in 1927 in Chicago. He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery. He was married to Florence Eichoff, however, I have never determined if they had any children. William F. Eichoff, Delmar's father, was a notable member of the Muscatine community in both music and politics. Delmar's brother Frank Eichoff, also a musician, was the Muscatine Postmaster in the 1920s. If you have any information about Delmar Eichoff, please contact me. I would like to give Delmar the credit he deserves in baseball history!
Thanks so much!
Margaret
