Ashbel Palmer was found dead on his farm in Muscatine 1n 1842. His wife Phebe and children Elizabeth, Pembroke, John Noble, Milton and Maria were away at the time. I am searching for any information on this family. The surname Palmer is also spelled Parmer on some census records. Their oldest daughter, Elizabeth married Richard Harris 21 August 1841 in Muscatine Co., Iowa. Any help would be so very much appreciated.
