Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Wigim, 62, West Liberty, were held June 30, 1987 at the First Church Christ United in West Liberty, with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. The organist was Mrs. Dorothy Mays. Pallbearers were Howard Shaw, Derwood Keith, Donald Turner, Dan Harvey, Charles Wendel and Harold Brooks. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery. Snider Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wigim died June 27 at University hospitals in Iowa City following an extended illness.
The daughter of W. A. and Margaret Cessford Small, she was born Nov. 25, 1924 in Springdale. She married Richard Wigim Sept. 29, 1950 in Springdale. She was a member of the First Church United and the Lotus Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Wigim is survived by her husband; a son, Michael, West Liberty; a daughter, Jeanette Wigim, Coralville; 2 brothers, Walter Small, Tipton and Stanley Small, West Liberty; 4 sisters, Mrs. Hazel Dewey, Iowa City; Mrs. Fern Harris, Jacksonville, Ark., Mrs. Esther Murphy, West Branch and Mrs. Helen Connor, Ft. Meyers, Fla. and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
