Margaret Walsh
Margaret Santy Walsh, 83, resident of the Lutheran Homes, died there Saturday morning.

Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Church of Cincinatti. Burial will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Geo. Rhode & Sons Funeral Home, 3138 Linwood Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45245.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Walsh was born April 3, 1906 at Bradenville, Pa., a daughter of John O. and Olive L. Gillespie Grove and stepfather, Frank J. Santry. she moved to Cincinnati in 1920 and lived there until 1987 when she moved to Muscatine.

She married Charles H. Walsh on Sept. 11, 1928 in Cincinatti.

She was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church in Muscatine, a former member of Christ the King Church of Cincinnati. She was a life member of Glenmary Home Missionaries, a member of the Craft Club of Cincinnati and Catholic Women's Club.

For many years she and her friends, known as the Sunshine Club, gave a Christmas Party at Little Sisters of the Poor in University Heights.

She was an alumnus of Academy of Sacred heart High School, Clifton and attended Edgwood College.

She was active in the alumni and Mother's Club of Edgwood.

In addition to the Sunshine Club, many hours of volunteer time over a 30-year period was provided by Mrs. Walsh to her community.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Theodore F. (Diane W.) McKee, of Muscatine; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parent, one sister and her husband in 1973.

Memorials may be made to Lutheran Homes in Muscatine.
