Herman Zeug Funeral Service Scheduled Friday
Services are planned at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home for Herman Zeug, 64, secretary of the board of trustees and credit manager for the Muscatine municipal electric and water departments, who died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Mercy hospital, Iowa City. In charge will be the Rev. A.D Steffenson, pastor of the First Methodist church, of which Mr. Zeug was a member. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery with military rites at the graveside conducted by Edward H. Bitzer post No. 27, American Legion.

Mr. Zeug had been in ailing health for several months.

The son of Christian and Wilhelmina Zeug, he was born Nov. 27, 1892, in Muscatine, and was a life resident here. His marriage to Cora Rauch took place Sept. 10, 1919.

A veteran of World War I, Mr. Zeug was a member of Battery C, American Legion Post No. 27, and the 40 and 8. He also held membership in the Chamber of Commerce, the Elks lodge and the Knights of Pythias. Mr. Zeug had been an employe of the municipal water and light departments since April 1, 1934. His home was at 710 Spring street.

Survivors include his wife; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Heussner; Mrs. Lena Klein and Mrs. Edith Mittman of Muscatine and Mrs. Mamie Petersen of Ottawa, Ill; and 13 nieces and nephews.
