Funeral services for Vera Albrand, 73, West Liberty, were held June 18 at the West Liberty United Methodist church with the Revs. Donald Thompson and John Morrisey officiating. Pallbearers were Charles Reist, Ronald Wiese, Duane Roe, Dan Kraklow, Ronald Neukirch and Hilbert Marolf. Dorothy Mays was the organist and Elizabeth Farmer the soloist. Burial was in the Greenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Albrand died suddenly June 14 after she was admitted to University hospitals in Iowa City.

She was born Jan. 25, 1911 in Cedar county to Edward and Lillie Wiese Ehrich. She married Earl Timm June 20, 1936 in Nashua. He died in 1950. She married Victor Albrand Sept. 8, 1954 in Kahoka, Mo. He died in 1962.

Mrs. Albrand was a 1930 graduate of West Liberty high school and she had been a rural school teacher. She moved to Chicago shortly after her first marriage, where she worked for the U.S. Postal Service and the Zenith Radio Corp. She returned to West Liberty in 1954. She later worked at University hospitals in Iowa City, from 1966 until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of the senior citizens' choir in West Liberty and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Dan Timm, Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Carl Ehrich, Blackwood, N.J. and 3 sisters, Mrs. Verda Rexroth, Rockville, Md.; Esther Rexroth, Oak Park, Ill. and Elsie Rowe, Davenport.
