Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph (Freida) Bowman, 89, Moscow, were held in Wilton May 13 with the Rev. G. W. Ukena officiating. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery, West Liberty. Pallbearers were John, John Carl, Larry and Scott Ervin and Richard Wessel.

Mrs. Bowman died at Muscatine General hospital May 10.

The daughter of Henry and Anna Edom Martens, she was born in Moscow Sept. 11, 1893. She was married to Joseph Bowman in Davenport April 15, 1914. He died in 1971. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Wilton.

She is survived by 2 sons, Marion, Tampa, FL, and Kenneth, Bettendorf; 2 daughters, Mrs. John (Bethany) Ervin, Wilton and Mrs. Richard (Carrie) Wessell, Moline, IL; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Norwin Martens, Littleton, CO and Lester Martens, Golden, CO and a sister, Mrs. Thelma Griffin, Moline, IL. She was preceded in death by a sister.
