Funeral services for Mrs. Lawrence (Nellie) Beaver, 65, West Liberty, were held at First Church United, West Liberty, Dec. 18 with the Rev. Ralph Farmer and the Rev. Gerald Foley officiating. Mrs. Carol Dewar was organist and Mrs. Betty Farmer vocalist. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mrs. Beaver died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, Dec. 15 following a heart attack.

The daughter of Solomon and Dorothea Kuehl Moomey, she was born at Fruitland May 19, 1915. She was married to Lawrence (Buck) Beaver at Muscatine Dec. 8, 1936.

Pallbearers were Robert Taylor, Harold Seibel, Wayne Noring, Robert Whitlock Jr., Robert Milder, Lloyd Simpson and Louis Erwin. Honorary pallbearers were Donald and Marvin Beaver, Richard Owens, J. Joe Wright, Robert Whitlock, Jerry Aubrey, Howard MacGowan, Jake Petersen and Alvin Harmsen.

Mrs. Beaver is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Richard, West Liberty and Lyle, Iowa City; 6 grandchildren, 5 brothers, Elmus Moomey, Cedar Rapids, Fred Moomey, Davenport; Edward Moomey, Muscatine; Charles Moomey, Bocaville, CA and William Moomey, Fort Pierce, FL and a sister, Mrs. Edna Whitlock, Durant. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren.
