Funeral services for H. Kenneth Van Atta, 70, West Liberty were held at the United Methodist church, West Liberty, June 23, with burial in Oak Ridge cemetery. Mr. Van Atta died June 21 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City.

Mr. Van Atta was born in West Liberty in 1905. He married Margaret Meyers in 1931 in Galena, Ill. He was a mail carrier 22 years before retiring in 1964 and was a navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
