Lila Keller, 98, of Illinois City, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Addington Place. Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. with the service to immediately follow at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services, Muscatine. Interment will be in Illinois City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Illinois City United Methodist Church or the Illinois City Cemetery. Lila Ruth Tomlin was born on August 2, 1924, in Illinois City, the daughter of Omer and Arvilla (Frye) Tomlin. She attended Illinois City Grade School and graduated from Reynolds High School. On November 15, 1942, Lila was united in marriage to Ralph Keller at the Illinois City Methodist Church. Together they farmed all their lives. Lila was also employed as member #101 by the HON Company for 32 years, retiring in December of 1987.

In 1940 she joined the Illinois City Methodist Church and at one time led the choir. She was a part of many committees, the Martha Circle and remained an integral part of many church activities.

Lila is survived by three children, sons, Neal (Barbara) and Monte (Mary) of Illinois City and daughter, Janis Reddick of East Moline; two granddaughters, Jennifer Cardenas and Manda Reddick; one great granddaughter, Alexia Cardenas; three step grandchildren, Terri, Jason and Jennifer Gedye; 13 step great grandchildren; brother Dean of Port Charlotte, FL; many dear nieces and nephews and countless people who called her “friend”.

Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Brian and granddaughter, Pamela both in infancy; parents and brothers, Keith, Larry and Duane.
