Funeral services for Allen W. Otto, 70, retired farmer, were held at Durant March 12 with burial in the Durant cemetery. Mr. Otto died March 9.

The son of D. P. and Dora Otto, he was born in Muscatine county July 8, 1900. He was married to Gertrude Bangert in Rock Island, Ill. Jan. 9, 1937.

Before retiring 8 years ago, he farmed 3 1/2 miles southeast of Durant.

Mr. Otto was a member of the Muscatine County Farm Bureau and trustee of the Fulton Township Zoning commission.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Allen B., Durant; 3 daughters, Mrs. Arlo (Phyllis) Krebes, and Mrs. Marvin (Darlene) Wulf, both of Durant, Mrs. Kenneth (Bernice) Kolberg, Walcott; a brother, Ernest, Durant; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Vera) Rissen, Durant; and 9 grandchildren.
