David C. Ledbetter, 63, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his home in Muscatine. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. David Charles Ledbetter was born on November 1, 1958 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Charles David and Bettie Lou (Hein) Ledbetter. David proudly served his country in the United States Navy. David retired from the City of Muscatine after 20 years of service. He was a member of the DAV, Bettendorf VFW, the YMCA and loved spending time with his children, watching them grow, live and learn.

David will be deeply missed by daughters, Megan Messick and husband, Tim of Cedar Rapids, Kathryn Ledbetter of Muscatine and son, Jared Ledbetter of Muscatine; grandchildren, Bayleigh, Oliver, Henry and Chloe; brothers, Daniel Ledbetter of Moline, Dennis Ledbetter of California, Donald Ledbetter of the Quad Cities, Thomas Fischer of the Quad Cities.

David was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Daniel Ledbetter.
