Last rites for Mrs. Rosa E. Stewart, 79, West Liberty were held Sept. 23 at West Liberty with burial in the Oak Ridge cemetery. Mrs. Stewart died in a Muscatine nursing home Sept. 21 following a long illness.

Mrs. Stewart was born June 28, 1891, at McLeansboro, Ill., daughter of Daniel and Melissa Ray Allen. She was married May 18, 1911, to Samuel H. Stewart.

Surviving are 3 sons, Thomas and Herman, Atalissa and Marshall, Iowa City; 2 daughters, Mrs. Roy Swails, East Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Robert Yerington, West Liberty; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, 2 sons and 3 daughters died earlier.
