Mrs. Anna B. Spilger, 82, a life-long resident of Atalissa, died April 18 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City after an extended illness.

Services were at the Zion Lutheran church in Atalissa with the Rev. H. E. Rasmussen officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty.

Mrs. Spilger was born Sept. 10, 1886, in Muscatine county, the daughter of Adolph and Emma Werth Gatzje. She was married to Phillip Spilger Feb. 11, 1915, in Atalissa. He died in 1954.

Survivors are 4 sons, Merlyn, Wayne and Leland, all of Atalissa and Harold of Iowa City; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Lucille) Freyermuth of Atalissa; 2 brothers, Fred and Paul, both of Atalissa; 3 sisters, Mrs. Theresa Passmore and Mrs. Elsie Phillips of Atalissa and Mrs. Merie Gradert of LaGrange, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and a grandchild.
