Last rites for Christen Christensen, 84, Moscow, were held April 3 at Wilton with the Rev. I. G. Wilkins officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.

Mr. Christensen died April 1 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, following a long illness.

The son of Christen and Kristen Marie Odgaard Christensen, he was born Sept. 11, 1883 at Morse, Denmark. He came to the United States in 1885, going to Kansas City, Kan. He had resided at Moscow the past 26 years.

Oct. 5, 1946 he married Mary Ann Morse at Wilton. He was of the Lutheran faith and a retired telegraph operator.

Surviving are his widow, Mary A. Christensen, Moscow; a step-son, Edward Morse, Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother, Jens Christensen, Saca, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. Elmer (Anna) Veisger, Davenport and 2 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and one sister.
