Car-Truck Crash Is Fatal to Muscatine, Wilton Jct. Couples
Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. (Bert) Budelier, rural Wilton Junction, were held May 22 at Muscatine with burial in Greenwood cemetery, Muscatine.
Mr. and Mrs. Budelier and Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Freers, Muscatine, were instantly killed when the car which Freers was driving collided with a truck on Highway 30 near Frankfort, Ill.
Mr. Budelier was born on a farm near Wilton Junction. He married Maude Phelps.
Mr. Budelier's survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Earl Peterson, R.R. No. 4, Muscatine; four grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Rosa Grunder, Davenport; Mrs. Evna Smith, rural Wilton Junction and Mrs. Harry Finck, Durant; and 3 brothers, Clarence and Earl both of Wilton Junction and Herman, Rock Island, Ill.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Budelier is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary Hauschild, Davenport and 4 brothers, Kenneth and Roy Phelps both of Muscatine, Glen Phelps, Atalissa and William Phelps, Washington state.
