Final rites were held Feb. 20 at the West Liberty Methodist church for Mrs. Jeff (Ruth E.) Foster, 73, with burial in the Conesville cemetery.

Mrs. Foster died Feb. 17 at her farm home near Atalissa following a long illness.

Mrs. Foster was born Aug. 6, 1893 at Salem, Ore., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Miller. She was married to Jeff M. Foster in Johnson county March 3, 1920.

She taught school in Nichols and Conesville a number of years ago. After her marriage, the couple farmed south of West Liberty for several years before moving to their present farm home.

Mrs. Foster was a member of the West Liberty Methodist church and the West Liberty chapter of TTT.

Surviving are her husband; 3 daughters, Mrs. Corrine Kellogg, Julien, Calif.; Mrs. Marilyn Erickson, East Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Geneva Lemman, Portland, Ore.; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Tracy Miller, Raymond, Wash.; and a sister, Nellie Miller, Santa Ana, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a son.
