Col. Charles C. Horton, formerly commandant of the Iowa Soldiers’ Home at Marshalltown, died.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Jan. 13, 1839 and died April 21, 1916. He is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine County.
