MRS. MURNEY RAINES

WEST LIBERTY – Mrs. Murney Raines, 84, died Monday at the Hershey convalescent home in Muscatine.
The daughter of Jesse and Mary Ellen Duncan McHenry, she was born Feb. 3, 1882 at Monmouth, Ill. She was a member of the Christian church in Muscatine. She was a former Nichols resident.
Survivors include her husband, Archie Raines; four daughters, Mrs. Blanche Carter of Conesville, Mrs. Hazel Barnard and Mrs. Jessie Ulch of Muscatine, and Mrs. Iola Coff of Atalissa; four sons, Martin Christofferson of Rock Island and Christian Leroy Christofferson, and Edward Christofferson of Nichols; 23 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nels Christofferson; two sons and one daughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, at 2 p.m. at the Snider funeral home in West Liberty. Interment will be at the Nichols cemetery.

West Liberty – Funeral services for Mrs. Murney Raines, 84, 2343 held Wednesday at the Snider funeral home in West Liberty with Rev. Ernest Worden, pastor of the Muscatine Christian church, officiating. Organist was Mrs. Geneva Campbell.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Donald Carter, Larry Ulch, Frank Newton, James Christofferson, Jerry Coss and Dewayne Christofferson. Interment was at the Nichols cemetery.
Mrs. Raines died Monday at the Hershey convalescent home in Muscatine.
