Funeral services were held July 30 at the Gill memorial home in Wilton for Margaret Hoskins Smith, 87, who died at Wilton Wednesday following a lengthy illness. The Rev. I .J. Wilkins officiated, with interment at the Klein cemetery in Moscow.

She was born the daughter of Stephen and Anna Fishburn Hoskins July 28, 1873 in Muscatine county. She was a resident of Moscow and a lifetime resident of the Wilton area.

She married James Smith April 11, 1911 in Moscow. She was a member of the Moscow Methodist church and had taught in the rural schools of Muscatine county.

Survivors include two sons, Morrie and Kermit of Moscow; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Charlotte) Grunder, Mrs. Melvin (Virginia) Fick and Mrs. Hilbert (Janet) Snider, all of Wilton; one brother, Joshua J. Hoskins of Wilton; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
