Harry Gardner, 84, died July 10 at his home in West Liberty after a lingering illness.

Services were July 12 at the Snider Funeral home, West Liberty. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery in West Liberty.

Mr. Gardner was born March 6, 1882, at Newscomerstown, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Eduana Howell Gardner. He was a resident of West Liberty for the past 50 years.

April 6, 1918, he married Grace Gibson at West Liberty.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church and worked at the West Liberty sale barn for the past 25 years.

Mr. Gardner is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Florence Spaine, West Branch; 3 half-sisters; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
