Eva May Buckman, 88, died Jan. 9 at a West Liberty nursing home after an extended illness.

Funeral services were Jan. 11 at the West Liberty Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Robert Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery.

She was born Jan. 4, 1878, at Atalissa, the daughter of Charles and Louisa Buckman. A lifelong resident of West Liberty, she was a former schoolteacher.

Miss Buckman was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of PEO Chapter AH of West Liberty.

Survivors are a nephew, Robert Buckman of West Liberty; and a niece.
