OBITUARY.

Caroline E. Witham was born in Farmington, Maine, December 16, 1832, and died in Wilton, Iowa, September 7, 1900, age 67 years, 8 months, and 22 days.

Her father having died while she was quite young, and her mother moved with the family to Maineville, Ohio. At the age of 16, she was converted and united with the M. E. church, but after removing to Wilton she united to the Free Will Baptist church.

In the year of 1855, she was married to Mr. E. L. Tufts, and to them were born six children, four sons and two daughters of whom three have preceded her to the better world. She leaves to mourn their loss one daughter, two sons, two sisters, one brother, and ten grandchildren.

The funeral was held in the M. E. church, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. N. A. McAuley, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Interment was at Oakdale.
