Vickie Ellen Windus, 9, a fourth grade student in the West Liberty Community schools died April 19 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, after an extended illness.

The daughter of Keith and Delores Spillman Windus, she was born Aug. 30, 1955 at Iowa City and spent her entire life near West Liberty. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Services were held April 21 at the Methodist church. The Rev. Dale Williams officiated. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery.

Survivors include her parents; 5 sisters, Debbie Esther, Sandy Hulda, Marla Sue, Tracy Leigh and Brett Mae, all at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wiler, Fort Madison, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Windus, West Liberty.
