Allan A. Putnam, 70, Muscatine, stepfather of Harold Swick died Dec. 2 at Muscatine general hospital. Funeral services were held Dec. 4 at Muscatine with burial in Memorial park cemetery at Muscatine.

He was born Oct. 31, 1894, at Iowa City, the son of Homer and Katherine Frank Putnam. He married Bessie Swick, July 20, 1957 at Muscatine. He was of the Lutheran faith.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the V.F.W.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Putnam, at home; 3 step-sons, Harold Swick, Tipton; and Richard and Roger Swick, Muscatine; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Carroll (Wanda) Martin, Muscatine; a brother, Roy C. Putnam, Rockford, Ill.; and 7 grandchildren.

Two sisters preceded him in death.
