Mrs. N. M. Brown, a resident of this city for nearly sixty years, died at the home of her sister, Miss May Leyda, 510 East Ninth street, at 12:30 o’clock this morning, after an illness of several years’ duration. Complications, which had rendered her an invalid for a number of years, caused her death. She was 74 years of age.

To survive, she leaves one sister, Miss May Leyda, of this city, and three brothers, J. A. Leyda of Muscatine, Leon Leyda, of Burlington, and Howard M. Leyda of Louisa county.

Funeral services will be held from the home at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon. The Rev. George Blagg of the First Methodist church will conduct the services. Burial will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
