West Liberty – Funeral services for Sgt. Harold TeVoert, 24, killed in action in Belgium on Jan. 14, 1945, were conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s church in Nichols. The Rev. Lawrence Vogel officiated.
Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery in Nichols under the supervision of the Snider Funeral Home of West Liberty. Military rites at the grave were in charge of the American Legion post of West Liberty.
Sgt. TeVoert is survived by three brothers, Frank, Raymond and Donald, all of Bloomington, Ill.
