Nichols, Ia., Feb. 5. – The people of Nichols were shocked to her of the death of Levi Laughlin, which occurred at the home of his nephew Harvey Metcalf, at Stamford, S. D.
Mr. Laughlin, who was past 85 years old at the time of his death, resided in this community most of his life.
The body was brought to Nichols for burial and funeral services were held at the Christian church yesterday afternoon. Rev. Mr. Schondlemeyer of West Liberty was in charge. Members of the W. R. C. attended the services in a body.
