Forest Collison, 55, West Liberty, died Oct. 5 at University hospital in Iowa City, where he had been under treatment for a heart condition. He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of the West Liberty area.

Funeral services were conducted Oct. 8 at West Liberty with burial in Oakridge cemetery.

Mr. Collison was born Sept. 11, 1907, in Atalissa, the son of Fred and Addie C. Collison. He married Marie Henderson in 1940 at West Liberty.

Survivors include the widow; 2 sons who are both in the service, Robert, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Duane, Louisiana; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Shetler, West Liberty; 2 sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Pierce, West Liberty and Mrs. Ethel Conley, Atalissa; 2 brothers, Foster, Tipton and Harry, Muscatine, and 8 grandchildren.

A brother preceded Mr. Collison in death.
