Arthur H. Hawker, 85, of West Liberty died Thursday, Aug. 23 at West Liberty nursing home where he had been a patient since Aug. 14. A retired farmer he had moved to West Liberty in May. He was born Sept. 17, 1876 at Nichols. He married Katharine Addleman June 29, 1956.

Surviving are his wife, a brother, Ernest Hawker, Tipton, and several nieces and nephews, including Fred Hawker, Tipton.

Funeral services were Aug. 26 at the Methodist church in West Liberty with the Rev. Dale William officiating. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery.
