MRS. JACOBS, 86, OF WILTON DIES
Native of Germany, Seven Decades Resident to Community Dies
Wilton, Ia. Feb. 22 – Mrs. Antonia Jacobs, aged 86 years, a resident of this community over 70 years, died at 3:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon in the home of her son, Joseph, four miles northeast of here. She had been ill several months. Mrs. Jacobs, who was formerly Antonia Hartman, was born in Germany, Nov. 8, 1841 and came to this country with her parents when she was 12 years old. She was married to Peter Jacobs in Muscatine. He preceded her in death 24 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Stuart of Muscatine; and eight sons, Frank M., Ferd J., and Otto of Muscatine; Matthew and Henry J. of Davenport; Albert, Des Moines, and Peter and Joseph Jacobs, Wilton. Eighteen grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 o’clock Thursday morning in St. Mary’s church with the Rev. M. K. Kirkpatrick celebrant of the requiem
high mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
