Mrs. Florence May Campbell, 68, a resident of Muscatine for 25 years, died at 2:15 a.m. today in her home, 15 East Seventh street, of complication, following an illness of one month.
The daughter of Harvey and Lavina Stitt Raushenberger, she was born Oct. 28, 1871, in Grandview, Ia., coming to Muscatine from that place 25 years ago. She was married to John William Campbell, Nov. 2, 1892, at Grandview, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints church.
Surviving are two sons, Harry and Sherman Campbell, and two daughters, Mrs. Edward Bierman and Mrs. Griffith Goddard, all of this city; three brothers, Martz and Clarence Raushenberger of Muscatine and Elmer Raushenberger of Grandview; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Heitman of Muscatine and Mrs. England Manley of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two sons, her husband and parents preceded her in death.
Private funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the George M. Wittich Funeral Home, with Elder L.L. Allen of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints church in charge. Burial will be in the Grandview cemetery. The body is at the George M. Wittich funeral home.
