Edward M. Schell, 47, Muscatine, was killed in an auto accident in Muscatine Sept. 26. Services were held Oct. 1 in Muscatine.

Schell had been a resident of Muscatine 35 years, and was employed at Kent Feeds. He was born April 9, 1916, at Tipton, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schell.

Schell was married Feb. 1, 1942, at Indiantown Gap, Pa., to Lucile Williams.

He served in the armed services during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Moose, the Teamsters and Truck Drivers Union.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Lucille Schell; 5 brothers: James, Muscatine; George, Hannibal, Mo.; Clarence, Phoenix, Ariz.; Jack, New Boston, and Fred, Muscatine; 4 sisters: Mrs. Florence Timm, Muscatine; Mrs. Vearl Stratton and Mrs. Richard Williams, Davenport, and Mrs. Gladys Hayes; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schell, Muscatine.
