Mrs. Alvena Miller, 79, Wilton Junction, died at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 22 at Muscatine General hospital.

The funeral was Feb. 25 at Durant cemetery.

Born Oct. 6, 1883, at Walcott, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Petersen. She was married to Johannes Miller Jan. 8, 1908, at Davenport.

They farmed one and one-half miles west of Pleasant Prairie until Mr. Miller's death 20 years ago. The past 10 years Mrs. Miller lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Arp of Route 2, Muscatine.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Rollo (Verna) Arp and Mrs. Donald (Pearl) Wilcox, rural Long Grove; 2 sons, Raymond Miller, Muscatine and Allan Miller, Durant; a brother Henning Petersen, Grand Mound, and a sister, Mrs. Amelia Rode, Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a son.
