Orville Henry Lamp, 45, Muscatine implement and truck dealer and a native of Cedar county, died at his home in Muscatine Aug. 17. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.
Mr. Lamp was president of the Lamp-Rehwaldt Company.
He was born April 25, 1916, at Durant, the son of Henry and Frieda Beck Lamp.
He went to Muscatine 25 years ago, and was employed by the International Harvester Co. Mr. Lamp and Si Williams became partners in 1943 and purchased the International Harvester dealership. Mr. Lamp and Charles A. Rehwaldt became partners in 1949, and Mr. Lamp was named president of the firm.
He was married Nov. 30, 1939, to Virginia Payne in Muscatine.
Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Virginia Lamp; a son, Michael; 3 daughters, Lana, Kathie and Vickie, all at home; 2 brothers, Clarence, Anamosa and Kenneth, Muscatine; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lamp, Durant.
Funeral services wee held Aug. 21 at Muscatine. The Rev. C. R. Gesell officiated. Interment was at Memorial Park.
