Death Summons A. Grossheim, 76 – Funeral Services Will Be Conducted Thursday Afternoon at Wittich Home.

Alexander Grossheim, 76, of 515 East Front street, died at Hershey hospital this morning at 4:30 after an illness with complications. He had been at the hospital since April 5.

Mr. Grossheim was born in Berlin, Germany, July 11, 1859, coming to America with his parents at the age of six months.

For many years Mr. Grossheim conducted a photographic studio in Muscatine, retiring from active business about 25 years ago. He was a member of the Elks lodge No. 364, Muscatine, the Muscatine Power Boat club, and the Maenmercher.

Surviving are two brothers, Oscar of Muscatine and Francis of New York city, and two nieces. His wife Margaret Grossheim, died in 1919.

Private funeral services will be held from the George M. Wittich Funeral Home. Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The body can be viewed at the funeral home until the time of service. It is requested that flowers be omitted.
