W.H. Hubbard, Esq., a resident for ten years of this city in its earlier days, but now of Springfield, Ills., arrived here last Saturday evening, accompanied by his wife, on a sad mission--to consign the earthly remains of his little daughter Susie, two and a half years old, to their last resting place in our city cemetery. The child died at Springfield, last Thursday, of cerebro-spinal meningitis. As Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard had two other children buried in the cemetery at this place they preferred little Susie here to interring them elsewhere. The funeral took place yesterday.
