USE LUNGMOTOR IN EFFORE TO RESTORE LIFE TO LITTLE ONE
Firemen used the city lungmotor in a vain attempt to ervive[sic] Lucille May Hubbard, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hubbard, 405 Kansas street, after she had died of leakage of the heart at noon today.
Responding to a general alarm at 12:07 o'clock, firemen of Stations 1 and 3 hurried to the Hubbard home only to find that they had not been called to extinguish a fire but were wanted to use the lungmotor in an attempt to revive the child, who had died seven minutes before. As teh firemen do not carry the lungmotor unless notified before they leave the station, they were forced to telephone and have it brought down by automobile. Two firemen worked over the child to no avail.
Lucille May Hubbard was born on May 6, 1916, and is survived by her parents; two sisters, the Misses Marjorie and Flossie Hubbard, at home; and four brothers, Osmund, Frank, Orville and Robert, all of Muscatine.
Definite funeral arrangements have not been made.
